The Phytotron greenhouse was opened on the basis of the laboratory of the Federal Scientific Center for Agroecology, Integrated Land Reclamation and Protective Afforestation of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Tree and shrub species are being selected here to create drought-resistant varieties. In the southern territories of Russia, crop production issues in the context of desertification and climate change are among the most urgent. The work of a new generation greenhouse is designed to provide a more effective solution to them.
