The greenhouse farms of Chukotka harvested 25.8% more vegetables in greenhouses compared to last year, the press service of the governor and government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug reports on August 8.
Especially this year, the harvest of cucumbers was successful, they were harvested in Chukotka 82.1 tons. The harvest of tomatoes amounted to 7.3 tons and 3.8 tons of other vegetables and herbs. The increase in productivity was due to the expansion of the area of the complex for growing vegetables in protected ground.
Recall that Chukotka provides itself with only 25.6% of greenhouse vegetables, the region covers the remaining need due to the annual northern delivery.
