A workshop on the competence of “City farming” was opened in the Astrakhan Agrotechnical College last year, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Astrakhan region reported.
The audience was organized within the framework of the regional project “Young professionals” of the national project “Education”.
Now students grow crops here in protected ground, so they master the basics of agronomy.
Note that there is a similar discipline in training for several specialties. Among them: “master of agricultural production”, “operation of agricultural machinery and equipment” and “technology of production and processing of agriculture”. In the course of training, students learn how to design a hydroponic installation.
“Our hydroponic installations are used in the profession of the future – city farming, farming in urban conditions. It’s quite interesting and productive. Therefore, when choosing the direction of development of our college, we provided that the profession of the future should be given due attention, and we settled on a workshop on this competence,” said Albina Andreeva, deputy director of the agrotechnical college for educational and methodological work.
