The Association “Greenhouses of Russia” sets a number of tasks for the development of indoor vegetable growing in the near future. The industry association plans to increase the area of greenhouses to 3.4 thousand hectares by 2025. By the same date, gross vegetable production in winter greenhouses is expected to increase to 1.7 million tons. The ultimate goal is to reduce the share of imported goods in the local market and increase the level of provision of the population with domestic agricultural products.
