Apples are grown in Crimea using a special technology developed by local scientists. Thanks to her, it is possible to get a larger harvest. In Yekaterinburg, Scandinavian-style furniture production has been launched, which is in high demand due to the withdrawal of Western companies from the Russian market. And in the Ulyanovsk region, a confectionery has opened, which will soon supply its own cakes, cookies and pastries.
Cucumbers and tomatoes are grown in these greenhouses all year round. From seeds to equipment – everything is domestically produced. No import dependence. The producer is the main supplier of vegetables in Sevastopol. Demand for cucumbers and tomatoes is growing. There are plans to almost double the area of greenhouses from the current three hectares.
“We don’t have chemical treatments and other things. We use entomophages that exist in nature and regulate everything with the help of their quantity,” explains Leonid Ven, director of the greenhouse complex.
In the north of the peninsula, the first seedlings of the innovative apple orchard are already greening. Technology “Crimean pyramid” – the development of local scientists. Thanks to a special method of cultivation, it is possible to collect a larger yield. This year, 100 hectares of apple trees were planted in the fields. From each in the autumn they expect to collect 15 tons of fruits. And next year, pears will be planted here.
“When laying pear orchards, we will focus on our local varieties. This will be the “Zest of the Crimea”. Very resistant varieties to diseases,” said Lyuman Dzhemilev, director of the peasant farm.
In Yekaterinburg, a local factory launched the production of Scandinavian-style furniture. After IKEA suspended work on the Russian market, the demand for Ural shelving has increased significantly. More than 1,500 products are produced daily at the factory. Sanctions, the manufacturer’s management assures, did not affect them. Almost all materials and components are Russian. Furniture screws are still ordered in Asia. Plastic accessories are produced on the basis of the largest Ural university. Now the factory is working on the development of new models, making sketches of shelving and TV cabinets.
An entrepreneur from the Ulyanovsk region turned her hobby into a profitable business. Elena Mukhametzyanova became interested in confectionery five years ago, when a friend made her first order. Then there were more buyers. And in the home kitchen, production ceased to fit. Thanks to a social contract of 250 thousand rubles, Elena purchased equipment. And now it produces cakes, pastries, cookies, sweets and pastries. The plans are to start cooperating with cafes and restaurants. And increase the staff.
