In the LC in the second reading, a new measure of support for peasant farms and individual entrepreneurs was added.

Parliamentarians during the session approved an initiative to support farmers involved in the cultivation of berries. It is proposed to expand the types of state support for citizens leading personal subsidiary plots for the construction of greenhouses for growing berries in protected ground.

The costs are partially going to be reimbursed to those who have switched to a special tax regime “tax on professional income”.

Sergey Orlenko, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Food, presented a draft law that amends the laws of the Krasnodar Territory “On the development of agriculture in the Krasnodar Territory” and “On vesting local governments in the Krasnodar Territory with separate state powers of the Krasnodar Territory to support agricultural production.”

— Growing berries in protected ground is an important direction for our agro-industrial complex. The population in the region is growing, and the flow of tourists to the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory is also increasing year by year. Demand for fresh berries is growing faster than supply. Not so long ago, as part of monitoring the implementation of the regional law on the development of organic production, we visited a farm specializing in the cultivation of blueberries. It was clear how difficult this work is, what large financial investments, agrotechnical knowledge and volumes of physical labor this business requires,

– said the chairman of the ZSK Yuriy Burlachko.
He also said that representatives of this industry need support, and the amendments adopted in the second reading will provide them with the opportunity to receive state subsidies.

This measure will stimulate the construction of 14.3 hectares of greenhouses this year. This will contribute to an increase in production by 114 tons.

The document also proposes assigning additional functions to the regional Ministry of Agriculture to ensure and form the state information system. It contains information about personal subsidiary plots in municipalities.
