Agrarians of the Lipetsk region harvested a record 61 thousand tons of vegetables in greenhouses with a year-round growing cycle, which is 3 thousand tons more than a year earlier, said the head of the region Igor Artamonov.
According to him, 31.5 thousand tons of cucumbers, 29.2 thousand tons of tomatoes and 0.3 thousand tons of lettuce have been grown in four greenhouse complexes of the region since the beginning of the year.
In accordance with the data of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Lipetsk region continues to be the best in Russia in the production of vegetables in winter greenhouses.

Artamonov noted that thanks to the support provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation together with the administration of the region, starting from 2014, it was possible to increase the gross harvest of greenhouse vegetables by 25 times.
