The structure of the retailer “Magnit” – JSC “Tander” – became the owner of the company “Greenhouse”, specializing in the cultivation of premium tomatoes, the newspaper “Vedomosti” reported.
According to the publication, the deal was closed on August 5. The seller is the investment company Sigma Capital, owned by the son of billionaire Roman Abramovich Arkady.
“Greenhouse” owns a greenhouse complex with an area of ​​24.5 hectares, as well as a sorting and packaging center in the Belgorod region. The company supplies its products to federal retail chains: Pyaterochka, Perekrestok, Magnit, Azbuka Vkusa and others. In 2021, Greenhouse received a net loss under RAS in the amount of 488.2 million rubles, almost half as much as a year earlier. The company’s revenue last year grew by 35% – up to 1.5 billion rubles.
Earlier, Greenhouse was planning to buy TTR Holding, the founder of Rost Management Company, which develops greenhouse complexes in 12 Russian regions. The deal was already approved by the FAS, but in the end did not take place.
