In the first month of 2023, greenhouse farms in the region produced 1,143.6 tons of vegetable crops in protected ground, which is 125.5 tons more than the same level last year.
Over the past week, 266.1 tons of vegetables have been harvested in greenhouses.
The largest volume of production falls on the Gagarinsky district, where the state farm “Vesna” and LLC “REHN” collected 1019.7 tons of cucumbers and 27.2 tons of other vegetable products.
82.9 tons of vitamin products were produced in Balakovo district, 13.8 tons – in Volsky.
It should be noted that Russian-made equipment is mainly used in the greenhouse complex of the region. For example, as Aleksey Popov, General Director of JSC Volga, said, 90% of the issues of import substitution were resolved here.
