On the territory of the Moscow region, the implementation of two investment projects for the cultivation of greenhouse vegetables is underway. More than 18 billion rubles will be invested in new greenhouses in the region. The implementation of these projects will bring the region to the 1st place in Russia in terms of the gross harvest of greenhouse vegetables. This was reported by the press service of the government of the Moscow region.
For example, greenhouse complexes with a total area of 50 hectares with an estimated production capacity of almost 42,000 tons of protected ground vegetables per year will be built in Voskresensk and Lukhovitsy. The greenhouses are planned to be put into operation at the end of this year. With the help of these facilities, 820 people will be provided with jobs.
Vesti Podmoskovye has already talked about the leading positions of the Moscow Region in the production of greenhouse vegetables. Over the past 8 years, 170 hectares of new greenhouses have been built in the region, and by the end of the year, the area occupied by greenhouse complexes will increase to 220 hectares.
