Since the beginning of this year, 73.5 thousand tons of vegetables have been grown in Stavropol greenhouses, which is 13% more than in 2021.
According to the regional government, producers collected 59 thousand tons of tomatoes, 14.3 thousand tons of cucumbers and 242 tons of other crops.
According to the first Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region Yevgeny Grishchenko, this year local farmers engaged in growing vegetables in the closed ground using the technology of additional illumination received 20.6 million rubles of subsidies.
It is noted that Stavropol is on the 4th place in the country for growing vegetables in greenhouses.
