In 2024, AO “Teplichnoye” set an impressive milestone by harvesting over 15,000 tons of produce, solidifying its position as one of the leading agricultural enterprises in Russia. Known for its wide array of products, including vegetables, berries, honey, and flowers, “Teplichnoye” continues to set new records while embracing cutting-edge technologies to boost productivity. Recent visits by regional officials, including Governor Alexey Ruskykh, have highlighted the company’s ongoing modernization efforts and its ambitious plans for expansion.

A significant development at “Teplichnoye” is the introduction of artificial lighting systems designed to enhance crop yields during the off-season. These systems are part of a broader initiative to minimize the seasonality of vegetable production, particularly cucumbers. With light culture technology, the company is already producing crops year-round, doubling or even tripling harvest yields in certain areas. The light technology is currently applied to 3 hectares of greenhouse space, but future plans include expanding this to an additional 5.65 hectares, improving the consistency and volume of the annual harvest.

Artificial Intelligence: A New Frontier for Efficiency

In addition to advanced lighting, “Teplichnoye” is embracing artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize various aspects of its operations. AI is being utilized to forecast yields, enhance product sorting quality, maintain sanitary conditions, and monitor market prices and demand. On the production line, the company has already integrated “computer vision” technology for more efficient sorting and preparation of goods, demonstrating how AI can help streamline operations and improve product quality.

Expansion and Community Engagement: A Vision for the Future

Looking beyond its greenhouse operations, “Teplichnoye” is planning to build a “Garden Center” on its property, which will serve as a retail hub for both their own produce and related products. These products will include items for gardening, landscaping, and even leisure activities like saunas and outdoor relaxation, aiming to enhance the community’s connection with agriculture and promote sustainable living.

The company’s approach to continuous improvement is also reflected in its infrastructure developments. In 2024, “Teplichnoye” not only modernized its greenhouse facilities for rose production but also invested in new equipment, storage buildings, and even created a universal sports facility for employees and their families. The commitment to employee welfare and productivity is further bolstered by the company’s participation in the national “Labor Productivity” project, ensuring a steady path toward long-term growth.

A Model for Sustainable and Technologically-Advanced Agriculture

AO “Teplichnoye” exemplifies the future of greenhouse farming in Russia. By embracing new technologies such as light culture and artificial intelligence, the company is poised to enhance productivity, improve sustainability, and reduce the seasonality of crop production. With its focus on innovation, community engagement, and workforce development, “Teplichnoye” is setting a high standard for agricultural enterprises across the country and is well on its way to becoming a key player in the global agricultural market.
