Agro-parks are planned to be developed on the territory of Greater Sochi, Aleksey Kopaygorodsky, mayor of the resort, said.
“The plans include the creation of real agro-parks, including not only the cultivation and processing of products, but also, which is important for the resort, the infrastructure for agro-tourism. It is this form of recreation that is becoming more and more popular in the country,” Kopaygorodsky wrote in his Telegram channel.
He added that today work is already underway on the concept of developing agro-parks in different areas of the resort, the city leadership has set the task of taking abandoned agricultural land under management for the development of the agricultural industry. According to Kopaygorodsky, agricultural parks will not only increase jobs in the city, but will also become a springboard for the development of rural tourism.
“And we are ready to provide all necessary assistance so that such projects are implemented at the highest level in the Year of Ecology,” the mayor emphasized.
