On the territory of the Okrug, near the village of Mirny, there is a modern automated greenhouse complex.
Many types of lettuce and tomatoes are grown here all year round. The area of the complex is 15 hectares. The automated line for the collection of lettuce allows you to cut only the most tender and young leaves from the plant, the so-called “baby-leafs”.
As noted in the administration of the district, the company is constantly increasing productivity through the active use of advanced technologies, skilled labor of workers and the creation of optimal climatic conditions for crops.
– It should be noted that objects such as this greenhouse complex help the region to switch to import substitution. Today, on average, up to 950 kg of salads are harvested per day, and about 340 tons per year. The productivity of tomatoes exceeds 5 thousand tons per year. The use of modern technologies in production makes it possible to increase the volume of high-quality products, – said the head of the Foothills Nikolay Bondarenko.
