About 200,000 pine and larch seedlings grow and gain strength in the greenhouses of the republic, built as part of the Forest Conservation project. Students of the direction “Forestry” of the Buryat Agricultural Academy in practice learn to care for the young.
Every day, foresters look after the future forest, now students of the “Forestry” direction of the Buryat State Agricultural Academy have come to their aid.
Anna Denisenko, chief specialist of the reforestation department at Lesresurs, says that she gladly accepted the guys who asked for an internship.
– For students, this is a good opportunity to work out the theory in practice, as well as learn the basics of the profession. It is quite difficult to take care of the little seedlings – this is painstaking manual labor, but the guys quickly got used to it and managed their affairs very skillfully, – shared Anna Denisenko.
Namzhilma, a BSAA student, is happy to share her impressions of her practice:
– There will always be work in the bodies – you need to weed, water, loosen the soil, and where it is necessary to feed with fertilizers. I really enjoy doing my internship here. Every day I run with a smile, because I know that small pines and larches are waiting here, – says Namzhilma with a smile.
The work on reforestation is carried out under the project “Preservation of forests”, according to which by 2024 the balance of disposal and reproduction of forests should increase to 100%. This means that all the forest cut down and destroyed by fires will be restored in the same volume and on the territory of the same area.
