As part of the implementation of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives”, Dzhumali Salaev passed the competition and received a grant of 3 million rubles. With these funds, the head of the peasant farm plans to build three new greenhouses for growing vegetables, as well as purchase a motor cultivator. In March 2023, he will plant seeds for seedlings, then transplant them into greenhouses and wait for the harvest. Already next year, he expects to receive up to 30 tons of cucumbers and 7 tons of tomatoes.
Dzhumali Salaev has been engaged in vegetable growing all his conscious life, he says that he cannot imagine himself without this business. He is a biologist by education, he graduated from Baku State University. He started his business in his homeland, when, together with his brothers, he grew gourds for sale, as well as potatoes and cabbage. About 30 years ago, he moved with his family to the Krasnoyarzhsky district and continued to do what he loved. Now on the farmer’s plot there are 2 greenhouses measuring 9×30 meters, where cucumbers grow. This year, Dzhumali Salaev plans to collect up to 8 tons of cucumbers from them. He sells his products at regional and regional fairs.
The farmer knows everything about cucumbers. He is happy to share the main secrets of growing vegetables indoors. He says that in order to achieve a rich harvest, cucumbers in a greenhouse need daily evening watering and airing. Dzhumali Salaev began to sell vegetables in May, he plans to harvest until the end of summer. In addition to cucumbers, the vegetable grower grows seedlings, and also produces cabbage, potatoes, bell peppers, and tomatoes in the open ground on his plot.
The owner himself, his wife, two sons and daughter-in-law work in the greenhouses. There is always enough work on the farm, in addition to caring for vegetables, they take care of a large subsidiary farm.
“I want to develop my business in order to supply the population with only fresh natural products. If everything works out, next year we plan to open our outlet in Krasnaya Yaruga selling vegetables,” said Dzhumali Salaev.
