Natalya Antonenko from Olkhovatka, the author of the project for the creation and development of a greenhouse facility, was provided with grant assistance under the Agrostartup program. With state support from the federal budget in the amount of almost 3 million rubles, the woman plans to build a new modern greenhouse for growing cucumbers and connect it to gas pipelines. About how the entrepreneur plans to develop the greenhouse industry – in the material of RIA “Voronezh”.
Program for beginner farmers
Agrostartup grants are a new form of state support for the agro-industrial complex. They are provided to those who are going to organize a farm. Any citizen of the Russian Federation who permanently lives in a rural area and intends to engage in agriculture can receive a grant. At the same time, they take into account that previously no other grants and subsidies for the development of their own farms were allocated to farmers.
“Under the Agrostartup program, you can get free state assistance for the development of your economy, the amount of state support is up to 3–4 million rubles,” explained Natalya Antonenko. – The money is provided on the terms of co-financing. The farmer must independently determine how much money he needs to create and develop the farm. To implement my project, it took me about 3.3 million rubles. The main part was the grant funds (2 million 969 thousand rubles), the rest was own investments.

The money is allocated on a competitive basis. An applicant for a grant must submit a business plan. All projects of farmers are evaluated according to a special scale, compiled in accordance with the priorities of the region. The winners of the competition will be determined by the sum of points – they will receive state support. Grant funds must be used within one and a half years.
– I submitted the business plan, according to which I plan to engage in greenhouse farming, to the Department of Agrarian Policy of the Voronezh Region, – Natalya Alekseevna explained. – She defended her five-year project “Creation and development of a greenhouse facility for growing organic vegetables in the Olkhovatsky district of the Voronezh region” at the competition commission. I hope my project will become profitable and pay off in six months.
Let us add that applications for grants in the form of subsidies for the creation and development of Agrostartup farms are currently being accepted. The selection will last until May 30 inclusive. Last year, about 49 million rubles of subsidies were paid to the recipients of this grant.
New greenhouse farm
Natalya Antonenko intends to implement her idea in the village of Malye Bazy, Olkhovatsky district. In 2019, two land plots of 17 acres each were purchased, where greenhouses will be built.
Natalya Antonenko contributed two main items of expenditure to the project “Creation and development of a greenhouse for growing organic vegetables in the Olkhovatsky district of the Voronezh region”: for the construction of a new modern greenhouse and for the purchase and installation of gas equipment in the kit for its heating.
“I plan to build a greenhouse on a foundation with ridge ventilation,” explained Natalia Antonenko. – The ends of the greenhouse will be protected with polycarbonate, it will be covered with a high-quality film that does not fade in the sun. I expect to complete the construction of the premises by the end of May. In order to use the greenhouse year-round, it will be heated by two boilers, one of which is a backup. We want to connect the premises to the gas pipeline networks in June. The greenhouse will have a ventilation system, automatic watering, and an additional lighting system during the cold season.
They started installing the greenhouse on April 22, they expect to complete all the necessary work by autumn, they will start heating the greenhouse with the onset of the first cold weather.
Workplaces
Earlier, Natalya Antonenko and her husband tried to grow various vegetable crops in small volumes on their plot of land and realized that there was a demand for their products.
“We work together in the greenhouse: me and my husband, but our first helpers are our parents,” said Natalia Antonenko. – With the support of the family, we managed to create our own business, which will bring profit in the future.
According to the terms of the competition, the grant recipient is obliged to create jobs, their number depends on the size of the grant.
“Now we manage on our own,” said Natalia Antonenko. – But in the future we plan to employ one person from among the unemployed in the Olkhovatsky district with a stable average monthly wage.
First steps for love
Seeds of cucumbers for seedlings Natalya Antonenko intends to sow in February next year.
At the end of February, we will plant sprouts in mineral mats, – said Natalya Alekseevna. We use organic matter when growing vegetables. All nutrients to the roots of plants will begin to fall with the help of drip irrigation. Cucumbers will bear fruit until June. In June we will sow new seedlings for the second rotation, which will last from July to December.
Natalia enjoys working on the ground – both in the garden and in the garden.
“This is my favorite pastime, useful and necessary for people,” Natalia noted. – I think if a person has set a goal and does everything to achieve it, then everything is real and achievable, all doors are open. It is necessary to act so that all plans come true. It is good that in our country they began to support domestic agricultural producers.
