Amidst the ever-evolving landscape of agriculture, Delphy International spearheaded a transformative training program, welcoming participants from Mosul University in Iraq to delve into the realm of high-tech protected horticulture. Led by Houda Thlibi Van Poppel, the immersive learning experience unfolded at the Knowledge Innovation Center Yanmoo in Amman, Jordan, marking a significant step towards enhancing water usage efficiency in the agriculture sector.
The training served as a catalyst for knowledge exchange and practical experimentation, empowering participants with new skills and insights into cutting-edge technological developments. Against the backdrop of modern facilities at the Knowledge and Innovation Centre Yanmoo, trainees engaged in hands-on activities, fostering collaboration and exploring opportunities for future partnerships between Mosul University and local directorates.
Field visits to Al Jabaly and Al Zyoud provided a firsthand understanding of irrigation water requirements and diverse local irrigation systems. Through observation and application, participants augmented their theoretical understanding with practical exposure, enriching their learning journey and equipping themselves with valuable skills.
Acknowledgments are extended to Leen Ramahi, Maram Zaid, Nelly Enkababian, and the entire ECO Consult team for their hospitality and support in facilitating this transformative training module at the Yanmoo Center.
This initiative, part of the Orange Knowledge Program managed by Nuffic Global Development and financed by the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, underscores a commitment to advancing agricultural knowledge and fostering sustainable practices on a global scale.
