Anwarul Haq Ahady, minister of agriculture, irrigation and livestock, in continuation of his provincial trips, on a trip to exploit a number of irrigation and agricultural projects, a honey quality consolidation laboratory, inaugurating of a large agricultural exhibition and meeting with agricultural activists and representatives of farmers and development councils headed to Nangarhar province.
Anwarul Haq Ahady utilized 192 greenhouses in Behsood district of Nangarhar. Zia-ul-Haq Amarkhail, was also present at inauguration ceremony. He said, “These greenhouses in the center and different districts of Nangarhar province by (CLAP), (CBARD) and also (SNaPP2) “at a higher cost of more than 100 million Afghanis.”
Mr. Ahadi Ahady added, “85% of the expense of the construction of these greenhouses have been spent by MAIL and only 15% by beneficiaries.”
The minister also launched a campaign to plant fruit seedlings in Nangarhar.
The inauguration of the Honey Quality Stabilization Laboratory and the chicken grain quality stabilization laboratory were other activities of the minister of agriculture during this trip. honey quality stabilization Laboratory worth 2.7 million AFN for season honey processing and packaging company and chicken grain quality stabilization laboratory for Habib Hassam Company worth 100,000 US $, both were made with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Nangarhar is one of the tropical provinces of the country and has a special place in agriculture of the country due to the production of fruit from evergreen or sturgeon trees.
