AGRISOVGAZ, a manufacturer of modern greenhouse complexes, is traditionally one of the key participants in the event. This year, the main topic of the speech was “Comprehensive support for construction projects of greenhouse complexes. Domestic innovative solutions for the creation and management of the microclimate of greenhouse complexes. Mikhail Semykin, the company’s expert, director of the AGRISOVGAZ greenhouse department, spoke on this topic at the round table “On the prospects for the development of farms for the production of vegetables and cultivated mushrooms in protected ground”.
In his report, he spoke about the state of the greenhouse industry in Russia. Over the past eight years, more than 1,000 hectares of modern greenhouse complexes have been built in our country, which has doubled the production of vegetable products. In 2021, a total of 1.51 million tons of greenhouse vegetables were grown, including 650 thousand tons of tomatoes and 860 thousand tons of cucumbers. The report also noted that Russia continues to import vegetables, berries and flowers. The real market demand for the next 5 years, taking into account the possibilities of building facilities by Russian integrators, is at least 1200 hectares of modern greenhouses, and this is without taking into account 700 hectares, the disposal of which is inevitable in the coming years due to their obsolescence and deterioration.
To meet the demand, AGRISOVGAZ has developed a domestic system for creating and managing microclimatic conditions in a greenhouse. These innovations are needed in vegetable growing, floriculture, as well as for growing berries and other light crops. The microclimatic cell is not only the most innovative development on the market, created taking into account the developments of imported analogues, but also the most profitable economic solution. This is a symbiosis of all the best that fourth and fifth generation systems offer.
In addition, AGRISOVGAZ is currently developing a specialized multi-tiered system for growing garden strawberries. It will allow reaching the results of a year-round industrial harvest of berries in the range of 20-26 kg per sq. m.
At the same time, work began on a completely unique high greenhouse for the intensive cultivation of hop light culture. This decision will allow domestic beer producers to provide themselves with a wide variety of fresh hop varieties all year round, to obtain beer of a completely different quality with unique, rich taste characteristics. These greenhouses are aimed at both craft brewers and industrial groups in the brewing industry. According to industry statistics, only 2% of the hops needed to make beer are grown in Russia, and our country buys the missing volume from the Czech Republic, Germany and the USA. According to customs statistics, in 2021, 3,600 tons of hops were imported into Russia (in total, in the form of whole or crushed cones, in powder form, in the form of granules or lupulin). The development of a unique hop greenhouse by AGRISOVGAZ, in addition to the possibility of providing the industry with fresh hops all year round, will be able to remove an extra segment of hop granulation equipment from the production chain, thereby reducing capital costs for setting up an enterprise. According to the calculations of the company’s specialists, taking into account the significantly higher yields in the light culture greenhouse and the indicators of dried hop imports, at least 200 hectares of new industrial light culture facilities of hop growing greenhouses are required.
“We are glad that AGRISOVGAZ has the opportunity to present its innovative developments at the specialized exhibition Protected Soil of Russia. This is a dialogue with the leading market players, more than ever necessary for Russian business today, an important exchange of experience and insights with the expert and business community for the development of the direction,” commented Maxim Yakibchuk, General Director of AGRISOVGAZ, for almost the entire growing season.
