As part of the Agrostartup federal program, peasant farms can receive grants to develop their business. Residents of our republic are also actively participating in the program. The hero of our story several years ago became a participant in the program and turned his idea into a promising business.
One greenhouse covers 500 square meters – each of which produces 10 kg of cucumbers. This is a large and well-established mechanism. It is important to maintain a constant temperature and humidity – it varies depending on the growing stage. Every agronomist knows that a beautiful and healthy harvest is the result of hard work. This season, the emphasis was on spina cucumbers. They are tasty, adapt well to the local climate and, most importantly, are resistant to cold.
In growing cucumbers, care is very important – proper processing, regular watering with water saturated with minerals and vitamins. And once a week, the leaf is sent for chemical analysis to understand what the plant lacks.
In total, there are 3 greenhouses in this farm. They are always hot, so the work is not easy. Taimuraz Kokoev treats her with great love. He opened his own business just a few years ago. During this time, there were trials and errors, but the entrepreneur admits that difficulties helped him grow and get a high-quality and, most importantly, natural product.
The idea was brought to life thanks to a grant. Taimuraz Kokoev received it under the Agrostartup federal program. For the sake of implementing the idea, a lot of personal funds had to be spent, but the result was not long in coming. The buyer is increasingly choosing a local manufacturer.
Every season they try to expand the range. In 2022, in addition to cucumbers, they harvested radishes. Taimuraz Kokoev says that he plans to continue to develop new niches. For example, in the fall, a tomato will be planted for the first time. Now they are studying the features of cultivation, the market and preparing greenhouses. In order to please the buyer with a high-quality and, most importantly, natural product in the new season.
