Certhon, a leader in horticultural engineering and technology, has announced its strategic expansion into the North American market in partnership with DENSO, a global mobility supplier. The company has established its new North American headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, located in the Greater Detroit area. This move marks a significant step in Certhon’s mission to deliver innovative Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) solutions to a rapidly growing market.
To spearhead this expansion, Certhon has appointed Jeffrey Landau as Director of Business Development for North America. With over eight years of experience in the CEA industry, Landau is expected to play a crucial role in driving Certhon’s growth and establishing a strong presence in the North American market.
“Jeffrey brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to sustainable agriculture that aligns perfectly with Certhon’s mission. We are thrilled to expand our footprint into North America and collaborate with DENSO to introduce our innovative CEA solutions to this dynamic market,” said Lotte van Rijn, CEO of Certhon. She emphasized the importance of Landau’s role in executing the company’s strategic vision, adding, “With Jeffrey Landau joining the team, we are confident in our ability to drive growth and deliver sustainable farming solutions.”
The new headquarters in Southfield places Certhon in a strategic industrial hub, which is expected to foster collaboration and innovation. This location is seen as a gateway to integrating advanced CEA technologies into the North American agricultural landscape, helping to meet the increasing demand for sustainable farming practices.
Landau expressed his enthusiasm about joining Certhon and DENSO in this new venture, stating, “I am honored to join Certhon and DENSO in this exciting expansion.” He will be working closely with Richard van der Sande, COO, and Damion Schwarzkachel, Director of Sales for North America, to further expand Certhon’s capabilities and presence in the market.
Certhon’s expansion into North America is not just a business move; it represents a commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture practices across the globe. By leveraging their partnership with DENSO and the strategic leadership of industry experts like Jeffrey Landau, Certhon is well-positioned to make a significant impact on the North American CEA market.
