One of the main tasks of foresters is the timely and high-quality implementation of reforestation and afforestation on the lands of the forest fund.
“Reforestation work on the territory of the republic is carried out within the framework of the federal project “Forest Conservation” of the national project “Ecology”,” said Emir Bedertdinov, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Chuvash Republic.
In 2022, the project provides for reforestation on a total area of over 820 hectares, of which: artificial reforestation – on an area of 285.7 hectares, including with planting material with a closed root system on an area of 58 hectares.
According to the Rules for reforestation, from 2022 the share of crops created by seedlings with a closed root system in the country should increase to 20% of the total area of artificial and combined reforestation and up to 30% from 2025.
“In 2022, three greenhouses were built for growing seedlings with ZKS: in the Ibresinsky, Kanashsky and Shumerlinsky forestries,” said Emir Bedertdinov. These complexes will fully meet the need for planting material from ZKS.”
On July 5, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Chuvash Republic, Elena Dymza, with specialists from the Ministry of Natural Resources of Chuvashia, visited the Koshloushsky permanent nursery of the Ibresinsky forestry and a greenhouse for growing seedlings with ZKS.
The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the completed construction of the greenhouse. which area is 140 sq. To date, more than 58 thousand pine seedlings have sprouted in the greenhouse, which will be used to create forest plantations on the lands of the forest fund of the Chuvash Republic.
For reference. To date, up to 100 thousand pcs. standard planting material of more than 3 types of trees and shrubs intended for use in silvicultural work on the territory of the forest fund of the forestry.
