A greenhouse complex, a farm and a bakery in Kaltan are ready to increase their production activities in order to replace imports. Today, these enterprises provide food for both residents of Kuzbass and neighboring regions.
“Now we must make every effort to establish import substitution so that business does not suffer. The headquarters for import substitution in Kuzbass is working on-line, resolving all incoming issues, in addition, we will establish cooperation with other regions. Such interaction will now allow creating new business processes and improving the economic situation. It is important that the niches vacated as a result of the sanctions are occupied by our manufacturers,” Governor Sergei Tsivilev emphasized.
The Kaltan greenhouse complex grows cucumbers, tomatoes and fresh herbs. Thus, in the autumn-summer period, the production of tomatoes reaches about 700 thousand kg, and cucumbers in the spring-winter period – 1.5 thousand kg. Vegetables are exported to Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and the Irkutsk region.
Andrey Chemakin, a farmer from the village of Sarbala, breeds sheep, rams, cows, pigs and goats. To increase the supply of meat products to the Kuzbass market, he plans to increase the number of sheep to 100 heads and has already acquired a producer of a new breed of pigs. Now sausage products from the meat of pigs grown on his farm are made in Altai. But the farmer has a desire to open his own small meat processing plant. The increase in feed prices has not yet affected the farm, according to the farmer, he can significantly save hay as the basis of the diet of cows and crushed beer production wort, which is used to feed piglets.
The bakery opened four years ago by individual entrepreneur Marietta Hakobyan pleases the inhabitants of Kaltan with the quality and variety of bakery products. Now five people work here, but expansion of production is planned. According to Marietta Hakobyan, in the changing economic situation, there will be no interruptions in this vital product.
