Berries grow in greenhouses, where modern technologies are used. They can be collected daily, regardless of the weather.
The first harvest this year is expected in mid-June. In total, over 400 tons of raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries are planned to be grown during the season and to satisfy most of the demand of residents of the Moscow region and the capital.
“This year, Greenfields Agro increased its production area by 30% by the beginning of the season, which will fully cover the need for retail chains in high-quality berries near Moscow, suitable for commercial use in terms of shelf life and taste characteristics,” said Georgy, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government Filimonov.
The first greenhouses of Greenfields Agro began to be built in our district in 2020. At SPIEF 2021, we signed an additional agreement with the regional government and, as a result, built the second phase of the project.
During the construction of the second stage of greenhouses, materials of exclusively domestic production were used.
The total investment in the project is 1 billion rubles.
Additionally, 20 permanent jobs and about 200 seasonal jobs were created from June to November.
