From January to May, more than 500 thousand tons of indoor vegetables were grown in the country. This is 5.4% more than in the previous year. Thus, the harvest of tomatoes amounted to 190 thousand tons (+3.7%), cucumbers – 300 thousand tons (+6.1%). The production leaders are the Lipetsk, Moscow, Volgograd, Kaluga, Tyumen, Belgorod, Tambov and Saratov regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories. The development of greenhouse vegetable growing in Russia is facilitated by a set of state support measures.
