At the Historical Grapes Nursery Sonnehoeck, a piece of horticultural history is being kept alive with the help of a historic pump, namely a wing pump.
Volunteers received this showpiece, dating back to the early 19th century, in October. At the time, the pump was being used to water the crops, mainly in the greenhouse cultivation.
After being restored, the pump is on display in front of the more than hundred-year-old historic water tower at the grape garden.
