The first crop of vegetables will soon be harvested at the Muzhevsky state farm. Cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, radishes and greens grow in greenhouses. This summer, they decided to conduct an experiment – they planted several rows of strawberries, the head of the Shuryshkarsky district, Oleg Popov, said on social networks.
Teenagers help take care of the plants, six people are employed. Farmers expect that their vegetables will go on sale in the next two weeks.
According to Oleg Popov, five tons of vegetables were grown at the state farm last season. Residents like local products, as they are tastier and cheaper than imported ones.
