According to the Minister of Economic Development of the region Roman Kovtun, the project to equip the greenhouse complex with a city farm using information technology will be implemented in Abakan. It provides for the cultivation of green crops: lettuce and greens. IT greenhouses have special computer-controlled irrigation and lighting systems. Such city farms allow you to get an environmentally friendly harvest in urban conditions. The volume of investments invested in the project will reach 24.7 million rubles. The production capacity, which is scheduled to start in 2024, will amount to 12.4 tons per year.
