The farms of the Trans-Baikal Territory, engaged in the production of greenhouse vegetables, plan to receive more than 2.6 thousand tons of products this year. This was announced by the head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture Denis Bochkarev.
“According to the results of 2021, Trans-Baikal farmers growing vegetables in greenhouse complexes have grown 2.6 thousand tons of cucumbers and tomatoes. In 2022, agricultural organizations of the region intend to improve productivity and exceed last year’s figures by 10-15%,” the minister said.
It should be noted that five farms are engaged in the production of protected ground vegetables in the Trans-Baikal Territory. The sown area of greenhouse complexes in the region is 19 hectares, of which 5 hectares are occupied by winter greenhouses, 14 hectares are spring greenhouses.
Recall that in 2022, an investor from the Chelyabinsk region will begin construction of the Yasnogorsky greenhouse complex in the Olovyanninsky district. Currently, work is underway to design the enterprise, commissioning is scheduled for 2024. It is expected that 138 jobs will be created at the agricultural complex. The planned volume of vegetable production is up to 7.7 thousand tons per year.
