In Kabardino-Balkaria, taking into account the 2021 harvest, the vegetable self-sufficiency ratio is 109.5%.

Tomatoes are the most grown in the republic – 165.8 thousand tons were harvested last year. In second place are cucumbers, the harvest of which in 2021 amounted to 44.3 thousand tons. For both crops, last year it was possible to increase production volumes compared to 2020: for tomatoes – by 7.6%, for cucumbers – by 4.2%.
The third position in terms of production volumes is other vegetables, which include various vegetable greens, sweet and bitter peppers, radishes, radishes, eggplants, sweet corn, etc. Similar vegetables harvested in the past year
over 29 thousand tons.
The fourth and fifth lines are occupied by green peas and any cabbage with a production of 24.3 thousand tons and 23.7 thousand tons, respectively.
