Kazakhstan plans to adopt high-tech approaches to the organization of greenhouse management from the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This was announced by Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abulkhair Tamabek during the GreenTech international exhibition in Amsterdam, Trend reports with reference to the ministry.
“There is a huge potential in Kazakhstan for the development of the greenhouse sector: solar energy, 25 million hectares of arable land. We have many opportunities. For greenhouses, one hectare is quite enough, not only to meet the needs of the family, but also to send part of the crop for sale. Every citizen of Kazakhstan has such an opportunity (to lease one hectare of land from the state for gardening). This is a huge opportunity and we should take advantage of it. We must implement the practices of those countries where greenhouses are well developed,” said Tamabek, noting the well-deserved leadership of the Netherlands in the development and management of greenhouses.
