“It has become a tradition for us,” says Irina Mutina, head of the kindergarten. – Every year we plant flowers in this flowerbed, the seedlings for which we grow ourselves, in our greenhouse. This year we decided to plant marigolds, because they bloom until late autumn. For our climate, this is the best option.
In kindergarten No. 83 this year, a labor team was formed on the basis of the preparatory group “Ecosha and Company”. Today the guys planted flowers in the flowerbed, and during the summer they will have to take care of the plants: weed them and water them. The motto of small flower growers is “You take care and protect your native nature, your beloved land!” By the way, the preschool children of this kindergarten got their first experience of participating in the youth watch last year. He has proven himself well, notes Irina Mutina.
The children like to take care of the plants, the teachers say. In the kindergarten in groups there are mini-gardens on the windowsills, a greenhouse on the territory, greenhouses and flower beds. By the holiday of March 8, pupils give their mothers hyacinths grown with their own hands.
Kindergarten No. 83 was built and opened ten years ago, and the second building – even later. But during this time, a variety of trees and shrubs were planted and took root on the territory. It was also possible to save old pines and birches, where squirrels feel comfortable. In winter, bird feeders are hung here – this is also part of environmental education. Pleasing to the eye from spring to autumn alleys of young trees: oaks, mountain ash, lilacs. Rowan-leaved spireas are planted outside the territory, but kindergarten workers also take care of them. Apple trees, maples, silver goof, ornamental shrubs … The variety is impressive.
