Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Kuban supported a document on expanding the types of state support for citizens leading personal subsidiary plots for the construction of greenhouses for growing berries in protected ground in the Krasnodar Territory. The corresponding initiative was approved in the second reading during the regular session of the Legislative Assembly of the region.
On July 15, the chairman of the committee for the development of the agro-industrial complex and food, Sergei Orlenko, presented a document that proposes expanding the types of state support for citizens leading personal subsidiary plots for the construction of greenhouses for growing berries in protected ground.
“Cultivation of berries in protected ground is an important area for our agro-industrial complex, the population in the region is growing, and the flow of tourists to the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory is increasing year by year, and the demand for fresh berries is growing faster than supply. Not so long ago, as part of monitoring the implementation of the regional law on the development of the production of organic products, we visited a peasant farm specializing in the cultivation of blueberries. It was clear how difficult this work is, what large financial investments, agrotechnical knowledge and volumes of physical labor this business requires. Its representatives need support, and adopted in the second reading The amendments will provide them with the opportunity to receive state subsidies,” Yuriy Burlachko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Territory, commented on the initiative.
In particular, the new document adds a new measure to support peasant farms and individual entrepreneurs who have switched to a special tax regime “tax on professional income.” In accordance with the project, they will be reimbursed for part of the costs. The action of this measure will stimulate the construction of 14.3 hectares of greenhouses in 2022, which will increase production by 114 tons in 2022.
In addition, the document proposes to assign to the regional Ministry of Agriculture additional functions to ensure and form a state information system containing information on personal subsidiary plots in municipalities.
