After years of research and development, IUNU (USA) presented its new imaging system for greenhouse tomato growers at the Indoor Ag Con in Las Vegas.
The imaging system collects data using a special mast that varies from 3 to 4.5 meters in height. It has up to 14 cameras that collect data from the entire plant area. The patented solution also uses stereo vision to gather 3D information from the collected images.
With this innovative imaging system, manufacturers collect 10 times more data than with other imaging systems. This data feeds into four modules on a computer or smartphone screen: Yield Counting, Problem Detection, Yield Management (automated crop registration and leaf area index) and Prediction, allowing growers to increase profits by 14%.
