For the entire last year, 165.7 thousand tons of greenhouse vegetables were received.
At the beginning of this week, 103 thousand tons were harvested in four Lipetsk greenhouses with a year-round growing cycle. This is 3.6 thousand more than last year.
The main increase in greenhouse vegetables is provided by increasing the collection of tomatoes. Since the beginning of the year, 53.9 thousand tons have been grown. Also, 48.5 thousand tons of cucumbers, 600 tons of lettuce (3 million pieces) were received. The Lipetsk region has been holding the first place in the country for the production of vegetables in winter greenhouses for several years.
Lipetsk farmers will start picking vegetables in the open field in August. The area under them this year increased by 10%. In agricultural enterprises and K (F) X, vegetable crops are located on 656 hectares.
