From June 1 to June 3, the XIX exhibition “Protected Soil of Russia” was held, organized by the Association “Greenhouses of Russia”. The exhibition has become the largest over the past few years – more than 2,500 representatives of the Russian greenhouse complex took part in it, about 95 exhibiting companies demonstrated their innovations and achievements.
“Only by uniting, we can effectively resist economic challenges. The greenhouse complex of the country showed the efficiency of production in terms of interaction with the state. Effective interaction between participants, building a dialogue, exchanging ideas and innovations is important, and the Protected Soil of Russia exhibition helps to solve such problems,” says Alexei Sitnikov, President of the Russian Greenhouses Association.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by experts from the greenhouse complex of Russia, heads of enterprises, President of the Association Alexei Sitnikov, General Director of the Association Natalia Rogova, Head of Staff of the Committee of the Federation Council on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management Mikhail Orlov, Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on the development of the agro-industrial complex Petr Chekmarev, Head of the Development Department of Rosagroleasing JSC Sergey Baranov.
“The exhibition “Protected Soil of Russia” over its long history has become a significant and expected event, a meeting place for managers and specialists of greenhouse enterprises to exchange experience in growing vegetables, cultivated mushrooms and flowers. The event demonstrated the latest achievements of science and technology, technologies in the field of protected ground,” said Petr Chekmarev, Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex.
Within the framework of the exhibition, round tables discussed topical issues of greenhouse enterprises, peasant (farm) enterprises for the production of vegetables, flowers and cultivated mushrooms in protected ground. The following topics were considered: “On the prospects for the development of farms for the production of vegetables and cultivated mushrooms in protected ground”, “Aspects of successful interaction between greenhouse enterprises and retail chains”, “Plant protection. Practical application of scientific knowledge”, “Lighting systems in protected ground – a half-century history of the development of domestic greenhouse lighting”.
The Association “Greenhouses of Russia” represents and protects the interests of greenhouse enterprises and mushroom growing complexes in government bodies, assists in the study and implementation of scientific research achievements and in training personnel at protected ground enterprises. The Association includes about 230 enterprises, including greenhouse plants for the production of vegetables and flowers, mushroom growing enterprises, as well as institutes, domestic and foreign organizations working in the field of protected ground.
