In early July, the first flowers will appear in the city flowerbeds in Norilsk – about 53,000 orange, lemon and red-orange marigolds will decorate the city. According to the administration of Norilsk, about 38,000 sq.m. will be planted this year. lawns and flower beds.

All buds are grown in advance in a greenhouse – it takes about 50-70 days. – Traditionally, our city will be decorated with marigolds – these are the most persistent flowers. They know how to recover, and this is especially important, because our sun is quite hard, strong winds often blow, and the temperature sometimes changes dramatically. I would also like to remind the Norilsk residents and guests of the city about the need to take care of flowers, – said Larisa Romanchenko, director of the Ecology Department.

The cultivation and planting of flowers is carried out by a specially selected contractor. The same organization will monitor the condition of the flowers until September of this year and update them if necessary.
