The greenhouse complexes of Sakhalin will increase the volume of growing greenhouse vegetables to 10.6 thousand tons in the next two years, TASS reported. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Trade of the Sakhalin Region Olga Shkardyuk on Monday.

“In 2024, all producers will grow about 10.6 thousand tons of vegetables per year,” Shkardyuk said.

The area of ​​winter greenhouses where vegetables are grown in the region is 14 hectares. 9 hectares are occupied by the greenhouse complex of State Farm Teplichny JSC, the largest enterprise in the Sakhalin Region and the Far East for growing vegetables in protected and open ground. There is also a 2-hectare complex of JSC Krasnogorskaya Zaimka and another 3-hectare complex LLC Nevelsky Agrosnab”. Cucumbers, tomatoes, parsley, dill, lettuce and other greens are grown mainly. In 2021, the Teplichny state farm built a greenhouse complex with an area of ​​0.93 hectares for growing seedlings of vegetable and flower crops, the head of the ministry recalled. In the off-season, it is planned to grow radishes in the seedling complex.

State Farm “Teplichny” is implementing a major investment project to expand the greenhouse complex. “There are plans to increase the range of vegetable products produced – peppers, eggplants, small-fruited tomatoes. The planned production is 2.8 thousand tons of protected ground vegetables per year, the increase in yield from greenhouses of the first stage will be 0.80 thousand tons of products,” the interlocutor said. agencies.

She noted that Sakhalin has already been provided with cucumbers by 100%, tomatoes – by 90%. The implementation of the project will also increase the supply of tomatoes up to 100%. Over the next five years, the state farm complex will be significantly expanded – a rose garden, service centers, an open-type nursery for growing shrubs and trees, a landscape center, a fruit nursery, and a greenhouse complex for growing seedlings of annual and perennial flowers will appear.
