The profitability of the production of Russian greenhouse vegetables, excluding subsidies, reached 22.8% in 2023. In 2022, a negative indicator of -0.2% was recorded. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, this is a very positive trend for the country. The industry demonstrates stable development. Last season, a harvest of almost 1.7 million tons was obtained. In total, according to Rosstat’s preliminary estimate, last year’s gross harvest of vegetables from open and closed ground amounted to 7.2 million tons.
