Vegetable production almost doubled in two years in Primorsky Krai. The self-sufficiency of the region reached 38%.
By the end of 2021, entrepreneurs have grown over 8 thousand tons of tomatoes and cucumbers. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, producers cover about half of the costs of growing and selling products through state support. Support for producers is carried out within the framework of the state program “Development of agriculture and regulation of agricultural products, raw materials and food markets. Improving the standard of living of the rural population of Primorsky Krai”, which is designed for 2020–2027. Greenhouse vegetables are produced by Lazurny and DEM-Lazurnoye KSP in Partizansk, Greenhouse in Artem and NK Lotos in Mikhailovka.
