As part of the agreement signed at SPIEF by Kuzbass Governor Sergey Tsivilev and Oleg Vetrov, General Director of the Kuban Teplitsy Management Company, a greenhouse facility will be built in the city of Topki for year-round cultivation of tomatoes and cucumbers. The estimated maximum gross harvest of final products when reaching full capacity is 20,000 tons of vegetable products per year.
“Fresh vegetables all year round in the Siberian climate is an important factor in good nutrition and health. Especially if the vegetables are grown in the region, next to the house. This will significantly reduce transportation costs and make the product more accessible to Kuzbass residents. Food self-sufficiency is one of the most important factors for the stable development of the region. The Kuzbass agricultural producers have been tasked with meeting the needs of the region in fresh and natural products by 100%. Our colleagues from the Krasnodar Territory have extensive experience in growing greenhouse vegetables. We are establishing a close partnership with them in this area,” Sergei Tsivilev said.
The company “Kuban greenhouses” is ready to invest 6.69 billion rubles in the new Kuzbass agricultural production. The greenhouse facility will be located on an area of 30-35 hectares on the territory of Topkov. 556 jobs will be created.
The Agreement notes that during the construction of the greenhouse complex, materials, raw materials and components produced in Kuzbass and other regions of the country will be used. Investors will start construction this year, and they plan to fully commission the facility in 2026.
