In Tatarstan this year, 13 million rubles were allocated for subsidies to farms producing products in winter and spring greenhouses. 8.7 million rubles have already been brought to greenhouses. This was announced at the meeting “Ensuring the smooth operation of greenhouse enterprises in the new economic realities,” the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.
In Tatarstan, annually for more than 10 years, farms producing products in winter and spring greenhouses have been provided with subsidies from the republican budget at the rate of 30 rubles per 1 sq. km. meter.
“In order to provide the population of the republic with vegetable products of its own production, this year the area under potatoes and vegetables in the organized sector is planned to be increased to 6.6 thousand hectares, or by 0.7 thousand hectares compared to 2021. The republic also has more than 110 hectares of greenhouses, including spring greenhouses,” said Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov.
He stressed that the republic is aimed at the development of greenhouse vegetable growing while maintaining the existing measures of state support.
According to Rosstat, last year Russia produced more than 1.5 million tons of vegetables and green crops in spring greenhouses.
