“Novocheboksarsky Greenhouse Complex” LLC from the Chuvash Republic allowed unauthorized discharge of contaminated wastewater. With the help of laboratory analyses, it was found that the content of petroleum products, phosphates, ammonium ion, nitrite, manganese, iron, zinc, and phenols was exceeded. As reported in the Volga-Kama interregional department of Rosprirodnadzor, the soil in the discharge area turned out to be saturated with these substances. The department’s specialists calculated and presented the violator with a fine in the amount of over 1.6 million rubles. The Novocheboksarsky greenhouse complex voluntarily repaid the entire amount of damage.
