This year, the Tsvetkom greenhouse complex has almost completely abandoned imported planting material for vegetable seedlings.
“All seedlings in the greenhouse complex are grown independently, from seeds in a specialized seedling complex. A special LED backlight has been installed there, which makes it possible to grow almost any seedlings and cuttings of plants in the Moscow Region in winter conditions. This year, the Moscow Region Greenhouse Complex uses 95% of the seeds of domestic selection for seedlings of vegetables, which will be sold for the needs of summer residents and farmers,” said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, who is in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
At the same time, the complex is working to reduce import dependence on flower seeds. So, last year it was possible to reduce it by 25%. There are plans to further develop the production of our own planting material.
“Today, the greenhouse farm is located on an area of 2.5 hectares and another 1.5 hectares is occupied by a nursery. These specialized areas make it possible to grow plants at a low cost without raising prices,” the Deputy Chairman added.
The greenhouse complex has automated production: packaging lines, automatic planting and watering of plants, climate control. The equipment fills special cassettes with soil, adds seeds, sprinkles, and moistens. Further, the planting material is mechanically sent to the greenhouses, where the microclimate system operates. According to a given scheme, the plants are watered and fed. A person participates in the process when measuring the necessary indicators of plants: ph level, electrical conductivity, and also sets feeding regimes and watering regimes. All this affects the yield, improves the quality of plants, standardizes their appearance. The greenhouse complex was put into operation in 2022 in the Ramensky district.
As part of an agreement with the Governor of the Moscow Region, the project was supported administratively. Trading House Tsvetkom LLC specializes in greenhouse production of flowers and plants from seeds, seedlings, cuttings and bulbs. The basis of the assortment are: cut tulips and chrysanthemums, hyacinths, seedlings of flowers and vegetables, perennials, garden strawberries, ampelous flowers, garden roses, indoor flowers, poinsettia, various types of pelargonium, primrose, cyclamen, fruit trees and shrubs, herbs, cloves and much more. Tulips of the greenhouse complex are delivered throughout the country: from Kaliningrad to Sakhalin, Yakutsk, they also supply flowers to Kazakhstan.
