The Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, as part of a working visit to the Sverdlovsk Region, visited JSC Teplichnoye and an Alpine goat farm.
The minister was accompanied by the head of the region Yevgeny Kuyvashev and the general director of the UMMC Andrey Kozitsyn. They examined the latest greenhouses with Ultra Klima microclimate control technology.
The capacities of the greenhouse complex allow covering up to 40% of the needs of the Sverdlovsk region in cucumbers and tomatoes, and 100% in greens. The complex is also equipped with a year-round supplementary lighting system and two energy centers with a total capacity of 44 MW.
Thanks to the equipment, even in winter, residents of the Urals see fresh tomatoes and cucumbers on store shelves. Over 23 thousand tons of this product is grown per year.
The plant started operating in 2017. The volume of investments amounted to about 8 billion rubles.
After the plant, the guests visited a farm for 800 dairy goats. The farm started operating in 2016. Every year, about 880 tons of milk is produced here, from which soft cheeses are subsequently made.
