The Mongols took up the industrial cultivation of vegetables

A new generation hydroponic greenhouse project has been launched in a neighboring country.
Within the framework of the national movement “Food supply and security”, initiated by the President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh, the company “Premium Group” and the South Korean company “Plant TFarm” launched a project to build a new generation hydroponic greenhouse, MONTSAME reports.

Premium Group and Plant TFarm will invest a total of 50 billion tugriks (about 870 million rubles) over the next three years in the construction of a 4,700 square meter greenhouse and 800 square meter ancillary facilities.

“The hydroponic greenhouse has its advantages, in particular, it will be possible to harvest 60 times more crop per unit area than traditional cultivation, replace imported products, supply 2,100 kg of leafy vegetables to the capital daily, reuse water, create jobs and improve the level of education of the population on healthy and rational nutrition,” explained A. Ganhuyag, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Premium Group.

The head of the presidential administration of Mongolia, Y. Sodbaatar, thanked the representatives of the companies implementing this project for investment and cooperation during the period when the President of Mongolia, U. Khurelsukh, set a goal to satisfy domestic demand for 19 types of basic products over the next five years. He also stressed that he would support the introduction of new methods and technologies, workforce training, strengthening public-private partnerships, as well as any proposals and initiatives of companies in this regard.
