In the Stavropol Territory, they continue to increase the area under greenhouses, and the harvest of indoor vegetables is constantly growing. Last year, 114 thousand tons of products were collected here. The region retains its leadership in Russia in tomato production and is increasing the production of cucumbers. In 2024, the industry faces a task: to update the record and harvest 117 thousand tons of vegetables. Local farmers are not only improving agricultural technologies, but also laying new greenhouses. In the first half of the year, another facility with an area of 23 hectares in the Levokumsky municipal district will be put into operation. According to the head of region Vladimir Vladimirov, it is planned to increase the amount of state support for greenhouse vegetable producers by 1.8 times. The federal and regional budgets will allocate 105 million rubles for these purposes.
