Mr. Hung harvests approximately 200kg of leafy greens daily, supplying primarily to customers in Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City, with prices ranging from 25,000 to 30,000 VND per kilogram.
With its outstanding advantages, hydroponic vegetable farming is becoming the preferred choice for consumers. Moreover, Mr. Hung aims to expand into agro-tourism, opening his farm to visitors interested in touring and purchasing products.
Looking ahead, Mr. Hung plans to diversify his crops to include fruits like tomatoes and watermelons around the farm to cater to both tourists and local consumers, ensuring a sustainable source of clean produce.
According to Mr. Le Van Trung, Chairman of the Farmers’ Association in Hoa Hoi commune, Xuyen Moc district, there is one hydroponic vegetable farming model in the area, meeting the market demand for clean and safe products. The Farmers’ Association encourages enterprises, cooperatives, and farmer members to invest in clean production, adhering to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards.
