The investment plan pulled in 1 billion rubles
The first stage of a new greenhouse complex will be put into operation on Sakhalin at the beginning of next year. A large investment project in the south of the island is being implemented by JSC State Farm Teplichny. It is planned to build a modern greenhouse complex with an area of 6.9 hectares.
Now the first stage is being built on 2.9 hectares. The implementation of the project at the first stage will allow the company to increase the gross production of fresh vegetables of protected soil from 8 to 10 thousand tons per year, as well as expand the range of products, for example, peppers. The company has been a resident of the territory of advanced development “Yuzhnaya” since August 2016.
In July, during his working trip to the region, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Trutnev gave a positive assessment of the project. He noted the importance of introducing new agricultural enterprises in terms of providing the Far East with fresh, high-quality products at the most affordable prices.
The Greenhouse State Farm has prepared an investment plan for 1 billion rubles for the construction of a greenhouse complex using modern environmentally friendly technologies, including light culture. The new greenhouses will be larger in comparison with those that the company currently has – 6 meters in height. They are equipped with effective lamps. This will increase the volume of production of vegetables in the closed ground, opening up the possibility for the company to supply its products to other regions.
Today, thanks to the help from the regional authorities, JSC “State Farm “Teplichny” uses an electric lighting system on the entire area of the complex, which allows you to produce vegetables without technological interruptions and in the winter months.
– The government of the Sakhalin region provides extensive state support, including greenhouse vegetable growing, due to which our farms have the opportunity to actively develop, create additional greenhouse complexes and offer consumers a wider range and volume of products, – said the Minister of Agriculture and Trade of the Sakhalin region Inna Pavlenko.
A wide range of subsidies is provided for agricultural enterprises in the region. Compensation for mains gas is 20 percent, for coal – 70 percent. For greenhouse enterprises in the region, there is a preferential electricity tariff of 30 percent of the industrial one. According to representatives of the expert community, this is one of the most successful examples of assistance to agricultural producers in the context of the country’s regions.
According to the latest statistics, currently the availability of greenhouse vegetables per inhabitant of the region has reached 100 percent. Over the past three years alone, thanks to the construction and modernization of greenhouse complexes in the island region, the yield of protected soil vegetables has increased by more than 2,000 tons per year. The Sakhalin Region took the first place in the production of greenhouse vegetables among the Far Eastern regions.
It should also be noted that from 2014 to 2017, one of the largest agricultural enterprises in the region, JSC State Farm Teplichny, implemented a large-scale project for the construction of greenhouses in several stages, which made it possible to minimize the import of vegetables to the islands of the closed ground, for example, from China. At the same time, today Sakhalin vegetables are bought not only by islanders, but also by residents of Primorye, Kamchatka, Yakutia and Khabarovsk Krai.
